Star Wars in Concert tour to be launch

After debuted at London's O2 arena in April, Star Wars Concert tour will next hyperdrive across the planet.

Star Wars in Concert features symphony orchestra and choir performing composer John Williams' music from the six "Star Wars" films. Actor Anthony Daniels, who played as C-3PO in the film will be the narrating the performance live and to be accompanied by a three-story-tall high-definition screen displaying movie footage synchronized to the live music.

According to the organizers, they are planning to bring the tour in several North American cities before starting its journey across the world.

Star Wars in Concert will launch at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., on Oct. 1, and make stops in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Sacramento; San Jose, Calif.; Seattle; Portland; Tulsa, Okla.; and Oklahoma City. Organizers will announce other cities later.

Ultimate Fighter Josh Barnett positive for steroid

Less than two weeks before his fight to Fedor Emelianenko in Anaheim, California, the former heavy weight champion Josh Barnett was scrapped from the main event of the Affliction: Trilogy after being tested positive for using steroid.

The drug test to Barnett was taken June 25 and it came back positive for anabolic steroids which then gives the reason for the California State Athletic Commission not to give the MMA star a license to fight on the MMA Affliction card. The commission learned of the results Tuesday and immediately denied Barnett a license.

According to the commission, Barnett's sample was tested at the World Anti-Doping Agency facility at UCLA and Barnett has the right to appeal the denial of his license.

The fight between Josh Barnett and Fedor Emelianenko was the main event in the Affliction: Trilogy and was already set on August 1 at the Honda Center.

Pope Benedict XVI underwent a successful wrist surgery Friday. The Pope broke his right wrist in a fall in his chalet while vacationing in the Italian Alps.

To reduce the fracture on the wrist, the Pope underwent a procedure to realign bone fragments. The surgeons performed the operation under local anesthesia and went well.

According to the statement released by the Vatican pope Benedict XVI fell in his room in a nearby chalet overnight and despite the accident, celebrated Mass and had breakfast before going to the hospital.

Despite the accident, pope Benedict XVI expected to stick to his schedule including the traditional Angelus prayer on Sunday.

Ron Artest officially signed with Lakers

The deal between Ron Artest and the Lakers agreed last week has now become official as Ron Artest signed deal. Last July 1 Ron Artest became a free agent and decided not to resigned in Houston, and reportedly agreed to a three-year deal to LA Lakers worth $18 million.

Artest is averaging 17.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists in his only sesaon for Houston Rockets and earned $7.4 million. He also became the Defensive Player of the Year in 2004 and also played with Chicago, Indiana and Sacramento before Houston. Artest has averaged 16.1 points and 5.1 rebounds in 10 seasons.

After a thrilling game against their respective opponent in the semi final match of the 2009 Wimbledon, Venus and Serena Williams will once again facing each other in the women’s singles championship of the Wimbledon 2009. It was the second year in a row that it became a Venus Williams vs Serena Williams in the women’s singles championship of the Wimbledon 2009 and their fourth in a row.

Serena defeated Elena Dementieva 6-7 (4), 7-5, 8-6 that lasted 2 hours, 49 minutes - longer than any Wimbledon women’s semifinal or final on record.

On the other hand, Venus defeated the worlds no. 1 Dinara Safina in an easy 6-1, 6-0 win. And she will try to win her sixth Wimbledon and eight Grand Slam title on Saturday's final match. While Serena will be trying to win her third Wimbledon and 11th Grand Slam title.
