The deal between Ron Artest and the Lakers agreed last week has now become official as Ron Artest signed deal. Last July 1 Ron Artest became a free agent and decided not to resigned in Houston, and reportedly agreed to a three-year deal to LA Lakers worth $18 million.
Artest is averaging 17.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists in his only sesaon for Houston Rockets and earned $7.4 million. He also became the Defensive Player of the Year in 2004 and also played with Chicago, Indiana and Sacramento before Houston. Artest has averaged 16.1 points and 5.1 rebounds in 10 seasons.
