After a very entertaining game against the Philippine Basketball Association stars selection team, the NBA Stars composed of Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, Derrick Rose, Derek Fisher, Tyreke Evans, James Harden, JaVale McGee and Derrick Williams will face the Smart Gilas Pilipinas for another exhibition match. NBA Stars vs Smart Gilas Pilipinas will start airing at 5:00 PM Philippine time, July 24,2011. The highly anticipated match will take place at the newly name Smart Araneta Coliseum in Manila Philippines.

The NBA Stars won 131-105 over the PBA All-star team last night. Everyone has been entertained and amazed by the dunks and fancy moves by the NBA Stars and JaVale McGee planking at the Araneta.

This was one of the highlight during the NBA Stars vs PBA stars exhibition game during the Smart Ultimate All-Star Weekend on July 23 at the Araneta Coliseum in Manila, Philippines. MVP Kobe Bryant throw it up to another MVP Derrick Rose. An MVP to MVP assist - Kobe to DRose. Very rare indeed.



The NBA stars coached by Kobe himself won the game 131-105. The game became a great show for the Filipino fans as the NBA stars show their flashy moves, shooting skills and jaw dropping slams. It's raining 3 pointers from Kevin Durant and Tyreke Evans while it was a slam dunk show for JaVale McGee who planks Araneta, James Harden and the Derrick Williams.

The NBA Stars will face the Smart Gilas Pilipinas - the national team of the Philippines for another exhibition game on July 24 at 1:00PM Philippine time.

Derrick Rose joining Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul to play in Manila

After TNT coach Chot Reyes posted in his twitter last day that Derek Fisher will be joining Kobe and Chris Paul in an exhibition match in Manila, MVP Sports Foundation president Al Panlilio Sunday confirmed the participation of the former NBA rookie of the year and MVP Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls. Derrick Rose is the last member of the eight-player lineup top billed by Kobe Bryant of the LA Lakers and Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets to play in an exhibition match against PBA selection team and the Smart Gilas team at Araneta Colisuem.

“There’s just one detail we’re trying to fix but he’s (Rose) okay,” said Panlilio, whose group is in-charge of putting together the historical event set at the Araneta Coliseum.

Also in the line up for the NBA stars are Derek Fisher of the LA Lakers, Tyreke Evans of the Sacramento Kings, James Harden of the Oklahoma Thunder, DeAndre Jordan of the Los Angeles Clippers and rookie Derrick Williams of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The NBA Stars will first go up against the PBA selection team on July 23, 7:00 PM and they will face Smart Gilas Pilipinas squad at 1 p.m. on July 24.
