Kevin Skinner is Americas got talent winner

Country singer Kevin Skinner was named as the new America's Got Talent winner. Skinner took the grand prized worth $1 million and a headlining spot at a Las Vegas show in October and will be hosted by Jerry Springer. Skinner gets a nods from viewers as he recieved the most number of votes on Wednesday final act.

Skinner outshined Recycled Percussion from Goffstown, N.H.; the Texas Tenors from Houston; and singing sibling act Voices of Glory. Hairo Torres, Lawrence Beamen, Fab Five, Drew Stevyns and 75-year-old comedian Grandma Lee were dismissed from the talent competition earlier.

Watch America's got talent season 4 opening episode. The nationwide talent search has back once again to search for the best talent in singing, dancing, comedy and novelty acts. The opening episode of the 4th season of America's got talent will features the preliminary auditions taped in theaters across the country. Jerry Springer will not return as the host but he will be replaced by Nick Cannon. Actors David Hasselhoff, Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne are among the judges.

America's got talent 4th season opening episode will be aired on June 23, 2009 at 9:00 pm on NBC.
