Silva is the current UFC Middleweight Champions and he will try to defend the title against Maia who will try to prove to his doubter that he deserves to fight Silva in UFC 112. Silva, for the sixth times will try to defend the Middleweight title he was originally slated to fight Vitor Belfort, however Belfort was replaced due to an injury. UFC 112 live will also feature lightweight champion BJ Penn and Frankie Edgar for the Lightweight title.
