Tribu Paghidaet of La Paz National High School was once again crowned as the grand champion of the Ati-ati tribe competition which is held yesterday - the highlight of the Iloilo Dinagyang 2009. In the last year's competition, Tribu paghidaet also named as the grand champion.
Tribu Paghidaet got the special award Best in Headdress and 5 minor awards - Best in Costume, Best in Music, Best in Choreography, Best in Choreographer and Best in Performance.
Tribu Atub-Atub got the Best in Descipline award and the Best In Streetdancing goes to Tribu Bola-Bola.
In the other major awards, Tribu Himal-os of Guimaras province named as the 4th runner up, Third Runner Up goes to Tribu Silak of Iloilo City National High School, Second Runner Up is Tribu Ilonganon of Jalandoni Memorial National High School which is the first runner up of the last year's competition and First Runner Up is the comeback performance of Tribu Bola-Bola.
Tribu Paghidaet in there winning performanceMeanwhile, in the Kasadyahan competition which is held last Saturday, Tribu Kasag of Banate National High School, Banate, Iloilo was able to steal the Grand Champion trophy from the last year's champion Tribu Saad of Leganes, Iloilo.
Tribu Saad only ended as the first runner up, Second Runner Up is Tribu Madia-as of Mandurriao National High School, Third Runner Up - Tribu Bayluhay of San Joaquin, Iloilo, Fourth Runner Up goes to Tribu Tultugan of Maasin, Iloilo and a consolation award is given to Tribu Jimanban of New Lucena, Iloilo.
Tribu Kasag also gets the Best in Production Design and Best in Performance while Tribu Saad gets Best in Streetdancing and Best in Theme Concept is the Tribu Bayluhay of San Jaoquin, Iloilo.
